Get to Know Us
Two Guyz With a Plan was founded in 2018 when General and Michael noted that there was a lack of diversity in theater that was being presented on and off-Broadway in New York City. The duo decided to pool their talents as a fashion designer and playwright, respectively, and develop a company that would give underrepresented people an opportunity to have plays produced in New York City. Their goal was to increase the representation of LGBTQIA, Black, Brown, and all people of the diaspora in theater. There are many good playwrights who are marginalized and never given a chance to hear their work read and or performed in a theater throughout the U.S. and certainly not New York City. The goal was to produce plays in an off-Broadway small house, making sure that all entities were paid for their creative contributions and given an opportunity to utilize a community of artists who have the talent but lack the opportunity.
